If you’re looking for excellent email marketing software, you’ve probably heard of GetResponse. GetResponse’s feature set has recently improved significantly, to the point where it is now positioning itself as an “all-in-one” marketing solution. As a result, GetResponse is ideal for businesses of all sizes due to its power and variety of features. This is due to the entirely customizable user interface, which makes it quick and easy to use.
On the other hand, the marketing funnel-based strategy may not be for everyone, especially if you’re used to working with traditional email marketing software. GetResponse currently offers functionality such as landing pages, CRM (Customer Relationship Management – basic type), and webinar hosting in addition to email marketing.
There’s no denying GetResponse’s popularity, but is it justified? So what is our rating before we begin the review? We rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It has some flaws, but it is undeniably good. Continue reading to find out why!
What is GetResponse?
Simon Grabowski created GetResponse in 1997, and it is a powerful email marketing app. It has 350,000 users and has been in operation since 1998. In 2000, the company released its first autoresponder, and it has since expanded to enable users to create content, increase sales, and drive traffic to their websites.
Users can use GetResponse to:
- Make a mailing list
- Send out updates to the subscriber lists.
- Using the ‘autoresponders’ feature to send emails to your subscribers regularly
- Analyze the data from the email campaigns’ files.
However, GetResponse’s emphasis has shifted significantly in recent years, with the app now aiming to be more of an “all-in-one” e-commerce and marketing solution than just an email marketing tool.
As a result, in addition to email marketing, GetResponse also provides e-commerce, webinar hosting, landing pages, and automated sales funnels.
Who Should Make Use of GetResponse?

GetResponse Review – Benefits
GetResponse offers a plethora of advantages to its users. Its email creator is user-friendly and encourages consumers to create emails that are already configured for different platforms, ensuring that promotions reach as many people as possible.
You can choose from hundreds of email templates. Furthermore, GetResponse’s targeting boosts conversion rates and sales. You can also build your own code with the HTML app.
Leads can be converted into paying customers with the help of intelligent automation. There are also webinars available to equip email marketing newcomers with tactics and tools for successful campaign execution.
Users of GetResponse have several options for increasing their subscriber list. If the contact list is tiny, email addresses can be manually entered, but third-party integrations can be used for more extensive lists. BriteVerify may also be used to delete email addresses that have expired or are no longer available.
In GetResponse’s dashboard, you can see all of your campaigns. You will see how many people got your email and how many of them opened it. By simply refreshing the tool, reports can be generated and sent to the user’s inbox. It also makes it easier to find phone numbers and see the campaign’s past, including click-through and open rates.
GetResponse Review – Pricing
GetResponse offers four different plans:
Basic – $15 a month for up to 1000 subscribers and unlimited email delivery
Plus – $49 per month for up to 1000 subscribers
Professional – $99 per month (up to 1000 subscribers)
Max – custom pricing for subscribers of more than 100,000.
The more subscribers you connect, the higher the rate. 100,000 subscribers, for example, will cost $450 for basic, $499 for plus, and $580 for professional. The pricing for the ‘Max’ plan will be determined by your needs and subscriber list. To obtain this plan, you must first schedule a demo with GetResponse to discuss your needs and pricing.
If you pay in advance, you can get a discount. Twelve months of service entitles you to an 18% discount, while 24 months of service entitles you to a 30% discount.
All plans include basic email marketing features such as subscriber list import, growth, and hosting, e-newsletter templates, autoresponders, split testing, landing pages, reporting, RSS functionality, segmentation, and social sharing tools.
Some plans include features that are not available on others. The automation builder, webinars, team management, and some eCommerce features, for example, are only available on the Plus plan or higher.

GetResponse Review – Features
They are auto-responders when your subscribers receive scheduled e-newsletters at the time intervals you specify. You can configure them so that they immediately receive a lovely welcome message from your company after signing up for your mailing list. Then, in a week or so, you make a discount offer on a few of your services or products to entice them. And, after about three weeks, they could receive a message encouraging them to follow you on social media. You could go on and on.
The functionality of GetResponse’s auto-responder is the main selling point because it provides the most comprehensive set of features available.
Furthermore, you can send action-based or time-based messages. Time-based messaging options include cycles like the one described above. The actions or information of the user are the only things that can trigger the messages sent by the action-based option.
GetResponse has just released a new version of this functionality called “Marketing Automation.” This allows you to create automation workflows by using an email builder called “Drag and Drop,” where you simply create a “Automation Flowchart” that instructs GetResponse about the next steps in the event that a user has opened a specific offer or clicked on a specific link, and so on.
This level of functionality is far beyond what most auto-responders provide. It enables you to create a journey for your subscriber that can be greatly customized.
You can easily create super-specific segments for your customer list on GetResponse. You can use attributes like these to construct a segment:
- Client action triggers
- Fields to be used
- Contact Information
- Dates of subscription
- Last time a client received an email
- Custom data
With its advanced contact management capabilities, GetResponse’s segmentation features are simple to use. With a single click, you can build segments from search results based on the subscriber’s subscription source, contact type, and contact status. You may also duplicate contacts or switch them from one section to another.
Templates of the e-newsletter by Getresponse
GetResponse is an excellent application in every way. When it comes to templates, however, there is a disadvantage. GetrResponse templates are inferior to the competition.
Unfortunately, the innovative templates provided appear to be a little out of date. These are not as appealing as the templates provided by Campaign Monitor or Mailchimp (as well as Aweber, if I may add).
However, on the plus side, these templates are more adaptable, which means you can easily change the fonts, imagery, and layouts using the provided controls. And, of course, nothing prevents you from creating your own HTML email template and importing the code for it.
Split testing entails sending two or three identical emails with minor changes (for example, changing your CTA, subject line, or the photo you’re using).
After some time has passed, you evaluate the performance of each email and send the one that works best for everyone else on your list.
GetResponse’s split testing features are superior to those of the other email marketing software because you can split test up to 5 different emails.
Landing Page Creator
In contrast to its competitors, GetResponse allows users to create mobile-friendly landing pages. What’s more, it’s available on all plans, which makes it even better.
GetResponse offers 180 landing page templates that can be used with third-party integrations.
Aside from a wide range of templates, the landing page builder allows you to create squeeze pages and split test them to see which one converts the best. This will have a significant impact on your email campaigns by increasing the number of high-quality leads and conversions.
GetResponse recently launched a new feature that enables users to host webinars on their platform. The feature is only available on ‘Plus’ plans and higher, but it is available as an add-on for the basic plan for $40 per month for 100 attendees and $99 per month for 500.
The ‘Plus’ plan has a limit of 100 participants, while the ‘Professional’ plan has a limit of 300 and the ‘Max’ plan has a limit of 500.
This feature has many advantages that pleasantly surprised us. The fact that participant do not need to install any software or programs to participate in the webinars screen sharing features, recording features, video sharing, and free online storage.
There are a few disadvantages to the benefits. On the ‘Professional’ plan or higher, only paid webinars can be run, which is one of the feature’s drawbacks. You still can’t pay to get the 500-person cap raised.
Given these limitations, the webinar function is a very useful tool to have in your email marketing campaign, and Getresponse’s use of it as a feature can give it a significant advantage over its major competitors.
Getresponse has some very sophisticated analytics and reporting options. All of the essential details, such as the rate of opening, unsubscribing, and clicking through, are available. However, some features are a little too handy but are worth noting, such as the ones mentioned below:
One-click segmentation: This feature allows you to identify individuals who did not connect with the e-newsletter you sent and place them in a separate subscriber segment so they can be emailed with a different version of the e-newsletter later.
- Metrics over time: For most subscribers, you can pinpoint the exact moment when they will act on your sent emails. You can then schedule your future emails based on this detail.
- Email ROI: You can add a tracking code to your site’s post-sales page to see how well your email campaigns drive sales and work on improving your email marketing ROI.
- User-specific data: You can check on all of your subscribers by clicking on their name to see where they signed up, their location, and which emails they have previously opened.
GetResponse’s reporting tool is, without a doubt, among the best available.
